These Coffee Tables were commissioned by the Wardroom of HMS Cornwall to house the existing “Uckers Board” and all their Newspapers and Magazines. Constructed from Brazilian Mahogany, traditional construction techniques were employed for the frames. The central panel of the table tops were made from veneered MDF with a solid mahogany frame. Having drawn the inlay pattern out using Turbocad, a template was made to ensure the precise location of the router using a guide bush to cut the rebates for the inserts. The Maple inserts were turned to fit and then planed flush. The table tops and frames were then finished with multiple coats of Liberon Finishing Oil.
